Sandhurst Polo Day

The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Thursday 8th July 2010

Sponsored by Savoy Investment Management Limited in association with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Limited

We are delighted to be able to sponsor today’s match between the Combined Services Polo Association and our friends from the South African Polo Association, set in the splendid grounds of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. We are also pleased to be able to support the charitable work of the British Forces Foundation.

Our association with polo results from a chance meeting in South Africa between Savoy director Paul Heber and Tony Lederle who set up a team with, among others, Malcolm Borwick, Georgie Morgan and Richard Pohl. Since our early days in the 2005 season we have been a permanent feature at Kurland and Inanda Club polo tournaments and at other sporting events in Southern Africa where we have been lucky enough to be able to combine our enthusiasm for sport with our enthusiasm for what we do.

This year will see us represented at many events in Southern Africa including the Hilton vs Michaelhouse old boy’s polo match at Inanda Club in September and for those who follow show jumping, keeping a close eye on Lara Bechet riding Savoy Whisper Cool.

Although we are based in Mayfair where we manage over £1 billion our international team, led by Paul Heber, is in Southern Africa on a monthly basis. He has also managed to become involved in sponsoring sport in Zimbabwean schools, funding international tours, kit and sports equipment for pupils of Peterhouse School and of Falcon College.
