The Zero Service

Many investors are attracted by the promise of predictable growth and returns and this can be achieved in number of ways. The traditional approach was to bias portfolios towards fixed interest and higher yielding blue chip equities on the basis that this lowers volatility. But much of the return is received as income and not everybody wants income, particularly if it is going to be taxed at 40% or more.

One way investors can receive returns in capital is to invest in zeros, an area of the market where Savoy has particular expertise and experience.

Zeros, or Zero Dividend Preference Shares to give them their full name, are a form of debt usually issued by investment trusts. Savoy has developed considerable expertise in researching and dealing in zeros and in selected structured products that share many of their characteristics.

The Savoy Zeros Service can manage portfolios invested entirely in zeros and also provides our investment managers with recommendations for use in general portfolios.

Zeros can be complex in nature and may not be suitable for all investors.

The value of investments, and any income derived from them, can fall as well as rise, and you may not get back what you originally invested.
